Evening Sunset Flight

The Evening Sunset Flight starts a few hours prior to sunset. Your pilot will be in contact with you the couple of days before your flight and then the day of your flight with details regarding the weather and where to meet. We have a couple of launch locations so depending on wind direction, we will adjust to a launch site that will work best for that evening. Please be aware that evening sunset flights do get canceled more than sunrise flights due to the weather throughout the day.

The scheduling calander will inform you on the meeting time for the flight. Once at the launch site, it doesn’t take long before the balloon is inflated, you receive a safety breifing from your pilot and you are gently ascending into the air on your hot air balloon adventure!

Evening flights are great for seeing the earth from above as the rays of sunshine highlight the contours of the land with the showdows providing a stark contrast. You will see evidence of how the river has changed it’s path over the years to help shape the valley floor. During the flight, we might see deer, fox, eagles, owls, ducks and other animals. Don’t forget to bring a camera!

Unfortunately time doesn't stand still and the balloon descends back to land. Our chase crew will meet us on landing and once we pack up the balloon, we will celebrate the flight with a little history story along with a champagne (or sparkling cider) toast at sunset.
